What Venus 2000 customers say
Exemplary rental process, but Venus 2000 disappointing
I borrowed the Venus 2000 for 2 consecutive weekends in order to test the device extensively and make a decision on whether or not I wanted to buy a Venus 2000. I had never tried the device myself before, but had read quite a lot about it and was therefore looking forward to the experience. The entire rental process, including communication, was absolutely exemplary in my eyes. I was informed about every step (receipt of payment, shipping, etc.) and therefore always knew the current status of the rental process. That was absolutely great. Unfortunately, my experience with the Venus 2000 itself was relatively disappointing. The climaxes that the device produced were unfortunately anything but good. It immediately became uncomfortable during the climax, so that there was hardly any satisfaction. Unfortunately, I was therefore unable to share the many positive experiences of other customers. I also feel that the device itself is not very successful. In my opinion, the Venus 2000 is far too expensive, both for the way it works and for the performance of the device. The internal structure of the Venus 2000 is relatively simple and there is not much high-tech behind it. Especially for this simple technology, I feel that a purchase price of over €1000 is unfortunately far too high. – Both the design and the technology are outdated. You can just tell that the device was designed in the 1990s and that nothing has obviously been changed since then. Why is the on/off switch and the intensity control not yet available as a wireless remote control, for example? Why do the air supply control and the on/off switch just mentioned have to be distributed over two separate control units? In my opinion, it is incomprehensible why the Venus 2000 has not been further developed in this respect. Especially for a purchase price of over €1000, I think you can expect a certain degree of technical up-to-dateness and sophistication. – The design and handling of the individual control elements are relatively cumbersome. This point corresponds with the outdated technology just mentioned. If, for example, you only had the receiver, which is connected with a hose, and a remote control for the entire control of the device, the Venus 2000 would be much easier to operate and you wouldn’t have this tangle of cables and hoses. To summarize, I therefore draw a positive conclusion from the rental process, but a negative conclusion from Venus 2000 itself.
